GETTING HERE:
Disembark at EW14/NS26 Raffles Place MRT station, from which you will walk towards the Singapore River and then turning right into Fullerton Hotel. Walk on Fullerton Road for a while and look for the Esplanade Bridge which cuts across the river to Esplanade Mall and Marina Promenade. On CityBuzz, all the bus routes will commence at The Esplanade ie: C1-#1, C2-#1 and C3-#1, at which Marina Promenade is located along Raffles Avenue.

DESCRIPTION:
Marina Promenade is one of the latest additions of Marina Bay development programme located along the shoreline of Singapore River and Marina Centre. Probably the best offering of this promenade is the stupendous view of the Central Business District (CBD) skyline. It is said to be best enjoyed in the evening when the spectacular setting sun glimmers the skyscrapers with golden hues. My visit during a hot sweltering afternoon was rather overcast and the view was rather subdued.

There are plenty of park benches and shelters along the shoreline for one to sit down and relax. Although I would say Marina Promenade could do with more shady trees to take away some of the heat.

Apart from the amazing skyline view, Marina Promenade also offers the latest shopping experience in the form of Esplanade Mall nearby, as well as Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay within its compound.

MY VERDICT:
A great place to hang out. Can be scorching hot but I saw plenty of ice cream vendors to cool you off.
