GETTING HERE:
Accessible from either NE3/EW16 Outram Park or NE4 Chinatown MRT stations. The latter station is on the New Bridge Road itself where Duxton Plain Park is located, while Outram Park Station is on Cantonment Road which is a short distance away. Alternatively, disembark at either CityBuzz stops C2-#7 (Chinatown) or C2-#6 (Kreta Ayer).

DESCRIPTION:
Although not as extensive and naturally-forested as major green lungs in the Singapore's national park groups, Duxton Plain Park serves an excellent open and peaceful space from the hustle and bustle of Chinatown. There are coffee shops, cafes, a shopping mall, and hundreds of street vendors surrounding the area, and yet, one can get away it all here.

The landscaping is just average, not overly generous. Walking paths are provided right from the busy streets into the backyards of Keong Saik Street. Naturally, there are plenty of park benches here, and it is common to see the locals relaxing in the park.

MY VERDICT:
A great stroll with shady trees and green foliage.
